Your review about this rental will assist inform other travelers and help us improving our services. July, 2011Fishbones: Stunning! - Tyler "Stunning. Simply Stunning." Our family of five stayed at Fishbones Villa and it was simply stunning! The views, the grounds, the interior was simply wonderful. Hearing the Ocean, feeling the breeze on the elevated property made our family of five wonder... why oh why we took day excursions! It is just a phenomenal secluded property! Fishbones Villa kept three teenagers engaged in the surroundings with the pool and awesome snorkeling. They felt a sense of "home" caring for the feral cats (even naming them) with the food provided and exploring the property. The snorkeling is phenomenal for rookies like us even if you do not swim to the reef. It was like watching live TV when we found the Coral Reef off the Ironshore Cliff where schools of a variety of fish live and feed. It was amazing and we could not get enough! A prior review discussed a dirty Viking Grill...it was spotless on our stay. I cater and use a kitchen on every vacation and it could not have been better. In fact, the entire home was spotless when we arrived. Also, in the prior review the reviewer discusses the personal belongings/pictures in the home. I completely understand what the reviewer was saying; however, I felt as if we were staying in a friends home and wanted to treat it as such...so I think the owners are smart to personalize their property where they obviously spend a lot of time with their own family. Who could fault a parent/grandparent sharing thier photos of their lovely family?!! Since returning I have told friends if you want a ocean front home with a beach to walk on...this is not for you. Also, if being on a remote part of the Island is troublesome...this is not for you. It did not bother us at all and also we loved it. We went to Rum Point and walked to our hearts content and went to Seven Mile Beach to check out the famous beach...honestly, we all said not hearing the surf at SMB was disconcerting and we were happy we did not stay there. It is one thing for parents to be content and happy with the family vacation decison but for teens to say in unison...lets get back "home"...to our "home away from home" ...Fishbones...well, we knew we made the right choice for our family!!! Near Fishbones, we loved Kaibo Yacht Club upstairs for dinner, The Lighthouse for dinner and Tukka for lunch and a return visit for a Sunday spectacular brunch. Rum Point Wreck Bar was also a great lunch spot on the beach...shaded and very picturesque. We chartered a beautiful 52ft Sea Ray luxury yacht that met us at Kaibo Yacht Club...check out Caymen Ocean adventures...it was a remarkable private experience to Stingray Sandbar, Snorkeling at the Barrier Reef, and Starfish Point. Roland, the on-site property manager at Fishbones was wonderful and we all felt like a pampered guest at this home and we will be a return visitor! We loved it so much while at the home, we had a local Photographer come to the home and take pictures of our family to memorialize such a special family time! Many thanks for opening up your home! June, 2009 Our little slice of heaven - M. Jack The house was amazing. The location perfectly remote (what we wanted) and the scenery beautiful. The house itself had everything you could need and then some. Rolland Pouchie was the caretaker and was very accommodating with us. We arrived a day late due to a travel delay, which meant he had to leave his family to come to the house on a Sunday to open it up for us but he was very gracious and never seemed "put out". We had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this house to anyone who wants to be away from the 7 mile beach frenzy, yet still have luxurious accommodations. We will rent again from Don and Linda Martin at Cayman Island Vacations, and we would definitely stay at Fishbones again as well. Great vacation! June, 2009 Fishbones Wedding - Vincent R. We got married at Fishbones Villa in May 2009. It was the most amazing place we have ever stayed. It took about three days to realize we weren't dreaming. We had everything we needed to get married there and had the most memorable honeymoon you could ever dream of. We will certainly stay there again. Thanks, -Vincent Washington, D.C USA February, 2008 - The Wolfe family Great week. The Fishbone house had everything we could ask for. Perfect location. Great weather. Look forward to returning someday soon. Keep in touch, Thanks for everything. , Awesome time at Fishbones - GR Fishbones was terrific! My wife and I rented the house with another couple. We're all in our early- to mid-thirties and my wife and I have a two-year-old and three-year-old. We were a little worried about spending a week together in the house, but it all worked out really well. The main reason was that the house was in terrific shape and very spacious. The pool was fantastic and the backyard opened up to the sea with a private walkway down to the water. We walked down to the shore every afternoon and snorkled off of a 6,000 foot wall!!! We definitely will be going back to fishbones again and again! , Fishbones Villa - Vincent We got married at Fishbones Villa in May 2009. It was the most amazing place we have ever stayed. Cook We enjoyed our trip to Grand Cayman quite a bit, as we mainly went for the diving and snorkeling. Both were exceptional during our 1st week in August stay. The Fishbones House we stayed in on the Queen's Highway was spectacular with the private pool, great ocean view and private steps down to the water's edge for snorkeling. Ocean Frontiers treated us quite well and gave us a nice discount based on your reference. Thank you for your help and insight on the island, activities and accommodations. |
