The Space

KAIBOSH THE 9 TO 5 Island House #16 is located on the incredible Rum Point Bioluminescent (Bio Bay)! Take your complimentary kayaks out at night right off the beach for an incredible glowing nocturnal experience! Kayak at your own self paced private tours nightly, and save hundreds vs. guided tours.

The best bioluminescence conditions are during a new moon, when the sky is at its darkest, and glow visibility is at its strongest. The blue bio glow is best seen by kayak from 7:30 to 11:00 pm.

"Island House #16 was just as described and provided so many opportunities just steps away from the unit. The included kayaks allowed us to explore Bio Bay and see the bioluminescence every night of our stay as well as explore just past Bio Bay towards Rum Point seeing stingrays and conchs and various fish species. The unit itself was comfortable and walkable to the beautiful Rum Point Beach Club and Restaurant….and less than a mile walk/drive/bike to Kaibo Beach Club and Starfish Point. We would definitely choose Island House 16 if we make it to the Cayman Islands again.

Relaxing condo on a quiet corner of Grand Cayman

"This was our second visit to Grand Cayman, this time bringing my mother in law and another family member along for the ride. The house was exactly the right size for our stay, with enough beds, a spacious kitchen, and a relaxing screened back patio.We did not use the bicycles, but we did make use of the kayaks b/c it was approaching a new moon and we could go out into the bioluminescent bay at night and enjoy the glowing water whenever we wanted.If you plan to cook here, I'd recommend grabbing groceries closer to civilization before making the trek out to Rum Point. There is Chisolm's grocery nearby, but selection is smaller and prices a bit higher.Communication with the property manager was smooth and we had not issues checking in or checking out. Would stay again.

Our favorite floaty time beach in the world

"We love coming to room point because of the sand reef which we believe is the best place in the world for floaty time and we've been a lot of places in the world. This condo was perfect for us. It was extremely clean and whenever we had questions, they were answered immediately. We loved sitting outside in the screened in area every morning watching the water while enjoying our coffee. We've been here before so we knew to buy groceries before we made the trek around the island from the airport. The kitchen had everything we desired as we like staying in and cooking. The grill was immaculate, and we thought that it was brand new until we saw the cleaning ladies cleaning the other grills as people left. Like I said, it was extremely clean and very comfortable. We would love to come back and have some of our friends rent other units along there so we could get together when we wanted for meals and still had privacy. It's just one of our favorite vacation places. An extra bonus this year was the fact that the sailboats were back. So on Sundays, you have a giant party on the sandbar and other days there are jet skis, and sailboats to rent.

wonderful accommodation

"Thank You to Don for the wonderful accommodation at Island House. The condo was immaculate upon our arrival, all appliances worked perfectly, door entry seamless, beds very comfortable and all WIFI worked without any hitch. Don's communications to us prior to our arrival was also excellent giving us our property manager name and number on island if anything was needed. We never needed to reach out, all was great. And also suggested excursions we loved! The kayaks were used every morning and the bikes also a plus! Our excursions were wonderful thanks to Red Sail Sports just across the road from our accommodations. Had some amazing dinners at Kaibo, Over the Edge, Rum Point Club and grilled at home one night. Just perfect for our family of young adults. The only suggestion I would give is add some more blankets to the closets to cozy up. Wonderful, beautiful Island House! We will be back. Many thanks! Wonderful and Relaxing Stay

"The location was ideal. We really enjoyed only having to make a 5 minute drive to beautiful Starfish Point and Kaibu. The two minute walk to Rum Point and access to the beach/bar/restaurants was great. Also we utilized the kayaks to experience the bio-luminesence which was right out the back door. Nice/clean pool was also refreshing. Easy driving to the East end and North Point. The property was clean and ideal amount of room for our family of five and had everything we needed to make our meals and relax in the screened in porch as we played games. I would definitely stay here again.

Great time on Rum Pointe

"My family of 5 just returned from our week at Rum Pointe. The condo is as advertised, it comes with all the amenities listed. The pool is super close by in the complex. The beach is a very short walk across the parking lot of Rum Pointe and the bar and restaurant serve some good food and drinks. The snorkeling right off the beach there is amazing-- we saw turtle, sting ray, star fish and an array of fish. Rum Pointe is a much quieter side of the island, which is ideal for families, esp those with small children. It is a 1 hr drive to 7 mile Beach and West End, though, so if you are interested in that side of the island, this is not the location for you. We met a family that was staying on 7 mile Beach and they felt it was too commercial and preferred Rum Pointe. You will want to try and get to the grocery store on the way to the condo and a car is a must. Kaibo is a 5 min drive and you can take a ferry from there to 7 mile on alternate days. We arranged a boat trip and they picked us up from there, making it super convenient. Miss paradise already!

A Week on the Bio Bay

"My daughter, teenage grandsons and I recently enjoyed a week in this beautiful home on the bioluminescent bay. Access to the bay was a prime reason for choosing this property and we loved being able to use the kayaks to experience the nightly phenomenon whenever we wanted (until the moon got too bright toward the end of the week). We also used the kayaks to paddle across the sound to the back side of Starfish Point, where we found many starfish and only a couple of other visitors. The condo property was very clean and Joshua, the local property manager, was very responsive to our requests and questions.

Wonderful place to stay

"Wonderful property with lots of amenities such as 4 kayaks, 5 bicycles, snorkel gear plus more, my wife and I have stayed in different island houses and have never been disappointed, being across the street from Tim point is a bonus, you can take a catamaran from there too snorkel at different places plus great restaurants right there and don’t forget the snorkeling is amazing just to the right of the dock at rum point, make sure you go out just past the dock to see sea turtles and stingrays and big colorful fish.

"This was the fourth time we have stayed at one of the island houses on Grand Cayman, we have not stayed in unit 16 before but it was just as good as any other one now we have stayed in, my only gripe would be is the master bed was not the most comfortable, it was a little hard but I’m sure it comes down to personal preference and we were able to sleep ok. The island house came with a lot of great amenities such as plenty of lawn chairs, four kayaks, four bicycles and a charcoal grill alongside snorkel gear. Our only hiccup on our second day is we lost our electricity and after about four hours they were able to remedy the issue, and the owner contacted me directly to apologize and let me know it was the cities fault, other than that experience was wonderful and I highly recommend you stay at Island House, number 16.

"Beautiful house and great location. We were looking for a relaxing holiday and this was perfect. House was well kept and had everything necessary for our stay. Loved having access to the kayaks and the bikes. Short walk to the beach and to the restaurant at Rum Point. Kaibo restaurant was also close by so we enjoyed their Beach BBQ on Tuesday night. Would highly recommend this property!

"We loved the location of this property and the fact that it was on the quieter side of the island, but you could still walk and bike to restaurants and activities. The unit itself was clean but had some deferred maintenance items that should be addressed.
